Factors influencing pricing
The electricity price paid by the customer consists of many components, including costs of generation of conventional energy; costs of distribution; excise tax; costs of renewable energy certificates and cogenerated energy (produced along with heat) certificates. Other cost items are the transactional costs and costs of the balancing market where the real-time demand for electricity is balanced.
Renewables obligation
The law in force requires the energy traders to purchase defined amount of certificates confirming the origin of energy from renewable sources and from cogeneration sources for his total sale portfolio. These obligations for this year and the next year are as following:
